Live Oak School is hosting the Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival on Saturday, January 12, from 9:30 -12:00. The festival is a non-competitive celebration of math for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. During the festival, students can join one of many tables and work collaboratively with other students and a facilitator who supports them during theĀ problem-solvingĀ process. Students typically spend around 30 minutes per table.
Students in grades K-5 must attend the event with a parent or guardian. Students in middle school can attend the event independently or with a parent or guardian. All participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle to reduce waste from the event.
Live Oak School parent volunteers are key to the success of this event! We need help with table facilitators, as well as with other tasks on the day of the event. Live Oak parents are invited to volunteer for the event by completing the following form:
